About The Event

On 27 January 1945, the Red Army liberated Auschwitz. The horror they experienced has come across the decades. The United Nations has declared that date as International Holocaust Memorial Day. The January lecture will be a memorial to the Jewish communities and cultures eradicated by Nazi racism and hatred. Focusing on the artistic memories of Meyer July and his recollections of life before the Shoah in his hometown of Apt, the lecture will explore what was lost in one shtetl and use that as a microcosm of the tragedy.

There is no registration required for this event. If you are on our email list, you will automatically receive the link. If you are not on our email list, please contact us at office@sonsofzionholyoke.org to receive the Zoom link.
